Position Title: Production Engineer
Experience: 1-2 Years in Fabrication
Qualification: B.E., Diploma or Technical background

The Production Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring the efficient use of resources, minimizing production costs, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. They analyse production workflows, implement improvements, and ensure that the production team meets production targets and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Process Management:
    • Oversee and manage the production line to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and meet quality standards.
    • Develop and implement production plans to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
    • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to address delays, machine failures, or other production-related issues.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality control.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other process improvement methodologies.
    • Continuously review production methods to ensure that they are effective, safe, and environmentally friendly.
  • Quality Control:
    • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
    • Troubleshoot quality issues and collaborate with quality control teams to resolve problems.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production processes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Equipment and Maintenance Management:
    • Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and that any mechanical issues are addressed promptly.
    • Work with the maintenance team to schedule regular equipment servicing and repairs.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that affect production efficiency or quality.
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure that materials and components are available on time for production.
    • Monitor and manage the usage of raw materials to reduce waste and optimize resource use.
    • Ensure that production facilities are well-organized and meet health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Coordination and Training:
    • Supervise and train production staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and best practices.
    • Ensure that safety procedures are followed and that the production floor is a safe working environment.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement among production teams.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyse production data to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports for management.
    • Use data to forecast production needs, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
    • Report on production output, quality control issues, and improvements made to management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a production engineering or manufacturing role, typically 2-5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality control methods.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methods.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
